Family Law Consultation
Consultation for judges, commissioners and attorneys in high-conflict family law disputes. Consultation only: no custody or parenting evaluations.
What Is Offered
Dr. Tutty provides consultation to judges, commissioners and attorneys involved in high-conflict family law disputes. High-conflict cases often come with psychological claims on both sides: allegations about a parent's mental health, a child's diagnosis or needs, or the meaning of testing in an existing report. Consultation helps the professionals deciding or litigating the case understand that material.
Where Consultation Can Help
- Understanding what psychological or neuropsychological testing in an existing report does and does not show
- Questions about a child's developmental, learning or attention needs, such as ADHD, autism or 2E profiles
- Identifying methodological questions to put to an evaluator
- Understanding the psychological research relevant to an issue in the case
Why This Background Applies
Dr. Tutty has evaluated or treated more than 2,300 children and adolescents with complex neurodevelopmental profiles, and has more than 30 years of clinical and forensic practice. That experience is useful in family disputes where a child's needs are in question.
